Brain Overload or Burn Out is a signal to Pause and Get help!
This month has revealed to me that health on the outside is deceptive. People may show up to group exercise classes every week and look in shape. What is going on in the brain and the mind is unseen however. There are imbalances that may occur due to hormones, changes in personal circumstances or trauma that may be triggered from injuries or accidents. There are also hidden disabilities that may effect daily functioning at any stage of ones life. I am sharing a few tips here that may be of help to those experiencing subtle changes in mood and health and well-being.
Take short breaks if feeling unwell at work.
Ask for help and support with tasks that may seem overwhelming at first.
Have a routine (Fitness/Cleaning/Sleeping)
Take regular exercise to help boost mood and improve sleep.
Eat foods that may improve your health and energy
Find a quiet space for moments when you feel overwhelmed.
Take a breath in ... and a breath out... to help self-regulate and soothe your nervous system
