The Bridge Pose may help to activate the pelvic floor muscles, strengthen the buttocks (glutes), the abdomen and strengthen shoulders and back muscles. It works on opening the energy centres in the pelvic region and the chest areas of the body. These are also known as the root chakra and heart chakra energy centres of the body. Always check with your medical practitioner before trying any new exercises and this may be challenging if you have lower back, shoulder or neck injuries.
